2020 Good Luck charms

The Good Luck Charm for 2020 is inspired by the wild olive tree “Kalistefanos’. Legend has it that it was planted by Hercules after completing his twelve feats.

A wreath, ‘kotinos’, made from the branches of this tree was offered to the winners of the ancient Olympic games as a symbol of great honour and achievement.

Since antiquity the olive tree has been considered sacred in Greece. It has symbolised peace, prosperity and victory.
